JUST FOR KIDS

Cape Town offers a treasure chest of activities for youngsters that even older kids and adults will enjoy. On this tour, the focus is the natural and nautical side of the Cape, with more than a few wildlife encounters and a jolly good pirate boat ride.

Uncover the hidden secrets of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans that surround Cape Town at the Two Oceans Aquarium. In addition to colorful and surprising underwater displays, the aquarium gets you up-close-and-personal with a number of creatures including sharks, penguins and turtles.

Go from the ocean floor to the star-filled sky, and visit the Cape Town Planetarium. With an interactive exhibition of the night sky, a visit will transport the whole family into the wonders of the universe.

It’s not a day out if the kids can’t get their hands dirty! At the Scratch Patch, little ones can rummage for treasures through thousands of tumble-polished stones in search of a treasured gem.

Be careful that treasure doesn’t turn into pirate booty, because the next stop is the Jolly Roger Pirate Ship. An authentic looking pirate boat, the kids will get swept up in the excitement as a costume-clad crew hosts party packs, face painting and a live show.
